An Introduction to Wet Felting

Date: Saturday 11th April 2026 Time : 10am - 1.00pm Location: Untangled Ltd, 10 Channel Street, Galashiels TD1 1BA Ann Smith has been creating and teaching wool felting for a number of years. She has exhibited in Perthshire, Angus, Cumbria, The Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. At this half day wool felting workshop you will learn how wet felt a simple table mat using the wet felting technique using merino wool fibres, silk fibres and more. We will work on an abstract design. We will use water, soap and a bit of elbow grease using the wet felting technique. Turning wool fibres into a piece of wool felt cloth. Bring an old bath towel and a bag to put your wet towel and work into at the end of the class. This workshop is suitable for beginners only. Minimum of 6 people and max. of 8 per workshop. The cost is £45 per person which includes all your materials, tuition and tea/coffee/cake. If you have any dietary requirements please add details to the booking form. Payment is required at time of booking, to confirm you place. Cancellation: Terms & Conditions: Payment must be made at the time of booking to confirm your place. Booking must be done online via Ann Smith Art directly. Cancellation: If the event organiser has to cancel a workshop, notification will be given as soon as possible. A full refund will be given or an alternative date will be given. Cancellations of bookings by the applicant must be made no later than 14 days prior to the event start date for a full refund to be given. Up until 7 days a 50% refund will be given. After 7 days no refund will be given. No shows of the day of the event will not receive a refund. Ann Smith Art is not liable for any other costs incurred by a participant ie. accommodation, travel etc due to cancellations.
