An Introduction to Wet Felting Workshop

Date: Sunday 22nd March 2026 Time : 10am - 1.00pm Location: Ashleybank House, High Street, Langholm Ann Smith has been creating and teaching wool felting for a number of years. She has exhibited in Perthshire, Angus, Cumbria, The Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. At this half day wool felting workshop you will learn how wet felt a simple table mat using the wet felting technique using merino wool fibres, silk fibres and more. We will work on an abstract design. We will use water, soap and a bit of elbow grease using the wet felting technique. Turning wool fibres into a piece of wool felt cloth. Bring an old bath towel and a bag to put your wet towel and work into at the end of the class. This workshop is suitable for beginners only. Minimum of 6 people and max. of 8 per workshop. The cost is £45 per person which includes all your materials, tuition and tea/coffee/cake. If you have any dietary requirements please add details to the booking form.
